Seminar: “Wildflowers of Southern Appalachia” with Adam Bigelow
November 19 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
“If you don’t know something is there, how can you Love it? And if you don’t Love it, why would you care if it is there?” –Adam Bigelow
Adam Bigelow leads weekly walks which are slow and intentional with many stops along the way to look at, photograph, and learn about the beautiful diversity of plants and wildflowers in Southern Appalachia while also enjoying beautiful views and waterfalls, and other special places.
Hi, my name is Adam Bigelow and I’m a Plant Nerd. While I did not grow up in these mountains, and am originally from Hampton, VA, I have lived here for 30 years and have been studying and working with the Plants of Southern Appalachia for 20 of those years. Somehow, seemingly by accident, I fell in Love with Native Plants and Wildflowers along the way. I would enjoy the opportunity to help you fall in Love with them too.
Seminars are held via Zoom on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Central Time (7:30 p.m. Eastern Time) and last about one hour. All members and potential members are welcome to join the meeting. The link to join this seminar is: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/88113720929?pwd=cRIlaITv1ZYa1T0nLtndtvYV6EXdwn.1
