Seminar: Dennis Bishop, Designing in Nature: Transforming Lawns to Native Plants

Dennis is a landscape designer and consultant in the Chattanooga, TN metro area. He specializes in native plants and is learning the art and science of letting nature happen on his own 2.5 acre parcel in Flintstone, GA.
Going-Native Landscape was founded by Dennis Bishop in 2015 to assist clients in the Chattanooga region with the planning and development of native plant landscapes. His home and office are located in the beautiful Chattanooga Valley of North Georgia. The goals of the business are:
- to promote the use of native plants in the local landscape,
- to develop landscape plans that are both pleasing to the human eye and beneficial to local wildlife
- to help others learn about the benefits, proper use and maintenance of native plants.
A native of Dayton, OH, Dennis is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he earned degrees in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design (BS), and Plant Pathology (MS). He moved to the Chattanooga area in 2004 and started Going-Native in 2015.
