Seminar: Allan Trently, Native Plant Highlights from West Tennessee – 2008 to Present

Allan Trently is the West Tennessee Stewardship Ecologist with the State Natural Areas Program of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. He manages and promotes 17 state natural areas in west Tennessee. That entails creating and updating plant and animal inventories, controlling invasive exotic plants, conducting ecological management, constructing and repairing trails, repairing boardwalks, writing management plans, leading hikes and nature walks, leading canoe/kayak floats, giving presentations, writing articles about the natural areas and more. Allan is currently VP of TNPS and a field trip leader.


Seminars are held via Zoom on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Central Time (7:30 p.m. Eastern Time) and last about one hour.
