Wild Potato Vine
Ipomoea pandurata
This morning glory has the largest flowers of our native species and are distinctive with their white corollas
and purple "eyes". The trailing vines can reach 15 feet and have heart-shaped leaves. This common
wildflower is a relative of sweet potato and its very large root is edible, though a bit on the bitter side.
