Blue Sage
Salvia azurea var. grandiflora
A Tennessee rare plant that can be found in
the counties that border the western run of
the Tennessee River in dry, rocky
situations. This perennial grows in clumps
of stems up to 4 feet tall ending in whorls of
enchanting sky-blue flowers up to an inch
in length. This is a fall favorite of all who
are fortunate enough to see it.
