Cardinal Flower
Lobelia cardinalis
A stunning perennial found in many damp situations
across the state, the scarlet flowers always demand
attention. One of our most beloved wildflowers, it is a
favorite of hummingbirds and butterflies alike. Dozens of
flowers adorn tall spikes on mature plants that bloom in
early to late summer.
