Stemless Evening Primrose
Oenothera triloba
Very similar to Missouri Evening Primrose except it has deeply lobed leaves. This species is much more
common in Tennessee than Missouri Evening Primrose, but it is found in similar habitats; glades and barrens.
Found mainly in Middle Tennessee, it flowers in mid-April for a short time. Often the first notice of its occurrence in
a location are its large woody seedpods that lie along the ground at the base of the plant.
